This week’s Course of the Week at Aylesbury College has been Sixth Form. We were lucky enough to visit several classes over the course of the week, including a range of different A Level subjects, and some Access to Higher Education classes.
The Sixth Form Centre at Aylesbury College follows a University ethos and an adult approach to education. Studying for your A Levels at Aylesbury College is very different to studying them at school; you are given more independence and responsibility for your own learning, studying in a professional, adult environment.
In the summer the College celebrated a fantastic set of A Level resutls, with a 99% pass rate.
In addition to our A Levels offering, Aylesbury College also offers a selection of Access to Higher Education courses, offering students aged 19+ a pathway into Higher Education. Students on these courses study a range of subjects and follow a Humanities or a Health pathway helping them achieve the qualifications and skills necessary to progress to University.
