Award in the Initial Verification and Certification of Electrical Installations

Introduction

This qualification helps you to develop the knowledge and practical skills required to professionally install and carry out initial verification and testing on electrical installations. This award is ideal for qualified electricians wishing to update their knowledge of electrical installation techniques. Level 3 is ideal if you are a qualified electrician and have a great deal of technical skills and knowledge. You work with minimum supervision and have a good record of safety, fault correction and ensuring work meets the required standard. You want to update your knowledge of techniques and legislation.

How will I be assessed?

Yes there is a one hour and forty minutes multiple choice on-line examination as well as a two hour practical exam.

Entry requirements

You will need the IEE 17th Edition Wiring Regulations and the On-Site Guide.
