Designed specifically to suit yor work commitments, the Award in Mentoring will assist in developing an understanding of the role of a mentor and also equip you with the skills required to become effective within this role. The course will deliver a range of approaches and stratgies that enable the mentor/ practitioner to develop and enhance their skills. It will also provide a supportive, confidential and developmental environment in which to study within.

What will I learn?
You will have the opportunity to participate in sharing ideas with other colleagues and drawing on best practice. You will learn how to be an effective mentor, using the recognised skills to enhance outcomes for the mentee. The course content also includes an element of self study and there will be an expectation that you will read around the subject area.

Minimum of a level 2 qualification.
Option 1 - 25th September until 4th December (Tuesday 5-8pm)
Option 2 - 9th January until 20th March (Wednesday 5-8pm)
Option 3 - 24th April - 3rd July (Wednesday 5-8pm)

Students who complete the course may wish to continue onto a suitable level 3 qualification or consider developing the mentor role further.
