Buckinghamshire College Group Receives Two Awards for Sport Projects

The Sport England Sportivate Programme in which Buckinghamshire College Group has been an active contributor, has now come to an end.  However, LEAP, the not for profit organisation which aimed to get 50,000 people more active across the county, gave awards recently for the end of the programme.  College Sports Development Officer Taofeek Oyeyemi was presented with awards for ‘Highly Acclaimed LEAP Project Provider’ and the ‘Innovative Project Award’.

These were for projects the College undertook both pre and post-merger. Katie Stapleton and Taofeek Oyeyemi were recognised for their impressive contributions to the programme. 

The Sportivate projects recognised at all three college campuses included:

Football Wellbeing – Amersham
Refugee Boxing – Amersham /Wycombe
Girls Hot and not bothered  - Aylesbury
Basketball – Aylesbury
This Girl Can table Tennis - Amersham/Wycombe
Disability sports – Football Badminton Netball - Aylesbury
Netball - Aylesbury
Couch to 5K - Aylesbury
Yoga - Aylesbury
