Celebrating Achievement at Aylesbury College

Aylesbury College recently held its annual Celebrating Student Achievement Awards ceremony, where students were recognised for their successes throughout the academic year.

Awards were presented to the best performing students from each subject area, there were also cross-College awards for the best student team, best contribution to the community and the Outstanding Student of the Year.  The Community award was presented to the Carpentry students for building Santa’s grotto houses for the Worlds End Garden Centre’s at very short notice.  Students and apprentices worked together on the project and received fantastic feedback from Worlds End.

The Outstanding Student of the Year was presented to Public Services student Charlie Ryan, for being an excellent role model and example to all, and for overcoming dyslexia to become a distinction student.  Charlie consistently exceeded targets and supported his fellow students to help them do the same. While studying he completed the Duke of Edinburgh silver award and is hoping to embark on a career with the Police.
