Open Days at Buckinghamshire College Group get into full swing this month and there’s a treat in store for visitors at the first event for those with an artistic bent. The Amersham Campus Open Evening takes place on Wednesday, June 13th from 6-8pm. Not only will visitors be able to talk to tutors about available courses for September starts, but the event coincides with the College’s End of Year Show for students in creative industries.
On show will be art, photographic and fashion displays, the TV studio will be hosting live bands with streaming via the college’s 'Sham Online' music channel and animation students will be creating darkrooms to show off their work. Acting students will be running a dress rehearsal of two Tennessee Williams plays in the outdoor courtyard behind reception and Musical Theatre students will be rehearsing their Big Fish production in the college’s theatre. Open Evening visitors are invited to come along and see both performances.
And as if this wasn’t enough, curriculum areas for Hair & Media Make-up, Business and IT, Science and the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy will be open for students to explore.
Later this month notable Open Days take place at the College’s two other campuses - in Wycombe, on Tuesday, 19th June (6-8pm) and at Aylesbury Campus on Thursday 21st June (3.30-7pm). Amongst the many curriculum areas are outstanding new facilities, including a recently expanded Construction Skills centre and 3G Football Pitch at Wycombe and specialist Catering, Hair and Beauty and Health and Social Care facilities at Aylesbury.
