Three November Open Evenings get underway this month with the first at the Amersham campus on Wednesday, 15th from 6-8pm. If you’ve ever wanted to find out more about a study programme, talk to tutors, see the facilities and meet some of our students, then this is the perfect opportunity to do so. In addition to the vast range of further education courses for 16-18 year olds, visitors will be able to explore apprenticeship and higher education courses. The Amersham campus is well known for its creative industries courses and is the birthplace of the Peter Jones Enterprise Academy with unique courses for budding entrepreneurs.
The following Tuesday, 21st November the attention turns to the High Wycombe campus based in Flackwell Heath. Construction courses covering plumbing and bricklaying have long been popular with local students at the campus, but now they can also choose from Carpentry, Dry Lining, or for the more mechanically orientated, Motor Vehicle courses (also available in Aylesbury) which are now all incorporated under one roof at the campus. The recently completed 3G football pitch is in constant use with sports students and is in big demand with the local community.
The day after, Wednesday 22nd November, our third event, the Aylesbury campus open day takes place from 3.30-7pm. A vast range of study programmes are taught here with individual courses in catering and hospitality for example, featuring highly with local students. The campus runs its own restaurant for budding chefs and has a comprehensive and modern hair & beauty salon with treatments for the general public. Animal welfare courses feature amongst the list of programmes offered, though more popular courses in areas such as Health & Social Care, Art & Design and Computing & IT for example, mean that local students can find a comprehensive range on their doorstep.
Not all courses are offered at each campus so be sure to check the website to ensure you are attending the open evening relevant to your subject of interest. Register for Open Day now!
