Science Students visit Cancer Research UK

Level 3 Applied Science students have recently visited the Cancer Research Centre in Oxford.

Students were taken on a tour of the centre and laboratories where 200 different types of cancer cells are analysed, and where new treatments are tested to find new ways of prevention and cure.

Visiting the centre gave students an insight on career opportunities open to them in the future, and to see first-hand the skills they are learning in lessons transferred into a working environment.

Visit Aylesbury College on Open Day, Thursday 22nd June 3.30-7.00pm and join in with the Festival of Learning event and 'Have a go' sessions.  Register your place here.  You can also visit the online prospectus: Destination AC.
