This one year course is equivalent to a full Level 2 qualification. It is designed for those who need to complete a Level 2 qualification (including English and Maths) before progressing onto a Level 3 Access course. The course is for adults who havent completed traditional Level 2 qualifications such as five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above.
This also includes adults who may have trained vocationally at a younger age, gone straight into work after school, or who have spent time concentrating on family life. The course provides a grounding in English and Maths at Level 2 and gives a good sample of a range of academic subjects that you could move onto at Level 3.
On completion of the Level 2 course support will be provided when choosing your Level 3 Access pathway.

Entry Requirements
All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational and work experience. Entry to the course will depend on the outcome of the interview, a English and Maths assesment and a satisfactory reference.
This course is for students aged 19+

Progression & Career Opportunities
Students that successfully complete the course can progress to a Level 3 Access programme. After undetaking this course and completing the following Level 3 year, students can go on to University and study for their chosen career path, which may include Health Professions, Humanities & Social Sciences, Business, Computing and many more Degrees.
