Saturday classes at the Amersham campus are a relaxing way to explore your creativity. We have great courses for people with different levels of experience, taught by our expert tutors who are specialists in their respected fields. Classes are structured and instructive, but enjoyable and energizing too. Numbers in the class are kept to a maximum of twelve so that the tutor has plenty of time to go around and speak to each student individually through each session, as well as teaching the group as a whole.
What will I learn?
Still-Life Drawing and Paint offers a thorough introduction to a variety of drawing materials including charcoal, pastels, ink, graphite sticks and paint.
Through various exercises you will discover new ways of seeing and how you can improve your drawing ability. Working with still life, you will be encouraged to develop your own individual approach to drawing while improving your technical skills. The tutor will take you through examples of different drawing styles and explain materials and methods.
The workshops will cover core drawing skills as well as some more experimental drawing techniques. By the end of the workshop you should have extended your abilities, have more confidence in your drawing skills and created a portfolio of new work.
The workshop is suitable for both beginners and those with more experience who want to practice and develop their drawing skills. Students wishing to strengthen their portfolios for application to further studies will also benefit from the course.
