The marketing industry is constantly changing and growing and there are many different opportunities for employment. To have a successful career in marketing, it is vital that you understand the industry and the principles behind successful marketing.
This course will give you the skills and knowledge you need to work within in the marketing industry or progress to higher study.

What will I learn?
You will learn the principles behind successful marketing across a number of mediums and have the opportunity to plan and produce marketing production material for both theoretical and real campaigns.
This course is a full-time study programme and has been formulated to prepare you for the future. This means as well as studying your chosen course, you'll also work on important skills to help to equip you for your future career. Your study programme will include: Your chosen course, English & Maths and/or subject related IT sessions (Digital Skills), a 45 day subject related work placement (Industry Placement), personal development sessions (Tutorials) and independent study sessions (Directed Study).

How will I be assessed?
There are a number of coursework units, each on a different topic Each unit is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction and contributes to an overall grade worth the equivalent of three A-levels.

Entry Requirements
A minimum of 5 GCSE at Grade 4 (C) or above including English and Maths. Alternatively we will accept a full Level 2 qualification at Merit grade or above in business plus either English or maths at grade 4 or above.

Progression & Career Opportunities
The qualification is aimed at learners who are looking to progress to employment in the sector via an apprenticeship and whose aspirations may also be to enter higher education. The qualification is fully mapped to the CIM L3 Foundation Certificate in Professional Marketing. This means that it will be recognised by employers and will support entry into this industry as a marketing executive.
Career options include: Digital Marketing, Advertising, Customer relations and Business.
