This course will give you an introduction into business studies if you want an administrative job. It will give you the chance to gain knowledge, understanding and skills that are important in a business environment. You'll study a variety of business topics such as organising meetings, working in teams, customer service and preparing for work.
What will I learn?
Learn how an office is organised and gain confidence in helping other people as part of a team. Gain confidence in helping other people as part of a team. You will develop your skills in communication, using the phone, dealing with visitors, and using your IT skills.
As part of your Study Programme you will also study Functional skills English and maths. In addition, you will attend Tutorials each week. You will also complete work experience in the industry.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is 100% course work. This may include: class tests, reports, role play or presentations.
Two GCSEs including English or maths; OR other related qualifications and experience.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Progress to one of our many Level 2 courses in business or into other subject areas - you'll have many opportunities for progression.
You may want to consider an apprenticeship in Business Administration. Administration, Buyer, Receptionist, Secretary, Retail
In order to complete your course, you will be expected to either work in the library when you do not have lectures or spend 2-3 hours per week completing assignments.
You will be required to go on compulsory trips which will enhance your learning. There is a fee attached to this of £50 for the year which is payable for the start of the course.
