Entry Level 3 will suit you if you are looking to enter the Hospitality industry. You have little or no previous knowledge or experience of the industry, but are keen to get your career started. This is also ideal for those learners with a EHCP.

  • What will I learn?

    You will cover things like: Customer service, Serving food and drink, Healthy eating, Using kitchen equipment and Basic food preparation.

    This course is a full-time study programme and has been formulated to prepare you for the future. This means as well as studying your chosen course, you'll also work on important skills to help to equip you for your future career. Your study programme will include: Your chosen course, English & Maths and/or subject related IT sessions (Digital Skills), a 45 day subject related work placement (Industry Placement), personal development sessions (Tutorials) and independent study sessions (Directed Study).

  • How will I be assessed?

    There will be practical and theory tasks that will be assessed.

  • Entry Requirements

    Applicants must be over 16 and will be invited for an interview.

  • Progression & Career Opportunities

    Students can progress on to a Level 1 Culinary or Hospitality course. The Award in Introduction to the Hospitality Industry can help you find a job in a wide range of roles including: Bar person, Catering, Chef, Concierge, Housekeeper, Kitchen assistant/Porter and Receptionist.

  • Cost of Study

    This course is free of charge for students aged 16-18. There may be some additional costs for uniforms or trips and visits.

    Students over 19 may have some course fees to pay to the college. The fee amount and any financial help available depends on individual circumstances and the course you are taking.

  • Additional Information

    There will requirements to purchase a kit and uniform (Chef whites etc). These will need to be worn in all practical sessions including when working in the restaurant.
