The Level 1 Certificate is designed to learn the basic skills required for a carer in the hospitality industry, specialising in kitchen operations.
What will I learn?
This qualification covers an introduction to the hospitality industry, elements of health, safety and nutrition and the preparation , cooking and finishing of dishes using a range of different cookery methods.
How will I be assessed?
Practical and written assessments.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course however an interest in cooking is desired.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Level 2 Professional Cookery or Level 2 Culinary skills. Our courses will prepare you for entry into the industry and this pathway could lead to working professionally in restaurants or as a private Chef.
You will require steel toe cap boots and chef whites.
This course will run on Thursdays, from 9am to 4pm
