Buckinghamshire College Group is the largest provider of apprenticeships in Buckinghamshire. Our experienced team of Trainer-Assessors works closely with apprentices and their employers, supporting you throughout your apprenticeship. We deliver this apprenticeship using the mixed delivery model, apprentices attend college and are also assessed in the workplace. What will I learn?
You will improve your chef skills in advanced cookery within the workplace and by working in our raining kitchens.
- Food Safety
- Preparation and Cooking of Complex Fish
- Meat and Poultry Dishes
- Soups and Sauces
- Basic pasta and Pulse Dishes
How will I be assessed?
You will assessed by continuous assessments based on observed practical performance and some exams for technical certificates
Level 2 qualification. You will be working in this area and also be required to attend an interview and sit a basic skills test.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Upon successful completion you will be able to progress onto Higher Apprenticeship at level 4. This course will provide students with the opportunity to progress onto a Higher Apprenticeship whilst working within a hotel, restaurant or commercial kitchen
The Apprenticeship program will take up to 18 months to complete. Uniform: Chef whites and protective shoes required.
