We are the largest provider of apprenticeships in Buckinghamshire. Our experienced team of Trainer-Assessors works closely with apprentices and their employers, supporting you throughout your apprenticeship. We deliver this apprenticeship using the mixed delivery model. Students work full time in the workplace and attend college for a monthly evening workshop. Evening maths, English and ICT lessons may be required in addition to the workshops. We pride ourselves on our industry-standard facilities and the outstanding support we deliver for apprentices and employers.

What will I learn?
This course is for Learners working or volunteering in roles that support pupils learning including teaching assistants, learning support assistants and special needs assistants.

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed by written tasks and by being observed in the work setting on a regular basis there is NO exam.
Learners should be at least 16 years old and working in a suitable setting for a minimum of 30 hours per week.
Progression & Career Opportunities
You will have sufficient knowledge to pass each unit assessment. Once all units are complete you will gain the level 2 qualification. Learners may progress to the Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools, Level 3 Certificate in Cover Supervision of Pupils in Schools, Level 3 Diploma in Specialist Support for Teaching & Learning in Schools and into the work workforce. Careers can include: Teaching Assistant in Primary, Secondary or Grammar schools. Learning Support Assistant and Special Educational Needs Assistant.
