This course includes coding, website development and computer systems which are important to gaining a career in IT.
What will I learn?
This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge, understanding and skills necessary for career development opportunities. The focus is on IT as a powerful tool for real-life use within a wide range of applications.

How will I be assessed?
You will undertake continuous assignments, which may be presented in a variety of ways including projects, written work and group presentations.
4 GCSEs at D or above including English and Maths, or a full Level 1 qualification in ICT. You must also have an interest in developing your skills in this area and a basic knowledge of the subject.
Progression & Career Opportunities
The course will assist you in following up work opportunities in a broad range of IT-related and PC support jobs. It can also be a sound foundation for progressing to higher level qualifications, including BTEC Subsidiary Diploma in IT. You can gain employment in the IT industry setting up hardware or software systems for small companies.
A £50 fee will be payable on enrolment for a programme of trips that will be arranged throughout the academic year.
