This course is offered to adults wishing to retrain in the growing area of game and 3D animation. It will give you the basic skills to make 3D objects and create and test a 3D game map.

  • What will I learn?

    Basic 3D animation, planning and creating a 3D object, understand 3D game engines, plan and test a 3D game map with spawn points.

    • 3D Modelling
    • 3D Game Engines
  • How will I be assessed?

    There will be theoretical and practical work resulting in practical pieces which will be assessed by your tutors and moderated by Gateway exam board. Grades are pass or fail for this qualification.

  • Entry Requirements

    No previous experience or qualifications are necessary but applicants should have good basic IT skills and an interest in the area.

  • Progression & Career Opportunities

    Students could go on to acquire further skills in L2 or L3 courses or move to Internships in the industry. Career paths can include 3D modelling, game animation, game design or CGI for film.

    This course is offered as part of a government retraining initiative.
