This course is a superb platform to start your journey into Creative Digital Media as you will create sound, video, animation and web design products. You will develop a wide range of new creative and technical skills and be supported to brush up on English and maths.
What will I learn?
You will learn to edit and present digital recordings and link them to real life projects in college and the community. Students will be encouraged to display their work and enter competitions. Maths and English skills will developed on the overall programme through the appropriate qualification. This will improve your chances of progression into employment and to the next level of education.
This course is a full-time study programme and has been formulated to prepare you for the future. This means as well as studying your chosen course, you'll also work on important skills to help to equip you for your future career. Your study programme will include: Your chosen course, English & Maths and/or subject related IT sessions (Digital Skills), a 45 day subject related work placement (Industry Placement), personal development sessions (Tutorials) and independent study sessions (Directed Study).

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on a range of practical and written assignments. Students will be asked to demonstrate media skills suitable for their intended progression route.working towards an externally moderated final project at the end of the year.
GCSE's at grade 1 in English & Maths. No other formal entry qualifications are required however subject to an interview and assessment.

Cost of Study
This course is free of charge for students aged 16-18. There may be some additional costs for uniforms or trips and visits.
Students over 19 will have some course fees to pay to the college. The fee amount and any financial help available depends on individual circumstances and the course you are taking.
