This course is designed to give the candidate an in-depth knowledge of the key areas of the 18th Edition Wiring Regulations and includes a brief overview of the Electricity at Work Regulations explaining the statutory duties imposed on competent persons. As part of this 3-Day course, successful candidates will hold the full qualification, be able to demonstrate a much better understanding of the 18th Edition of BS7671, and should be able to apply the understanding within their role.
What will I learn?
You will learn about the legal status and statutory documents, the scope, object and fundamental requirements for safety, the assessment of general characteristics, protection for safety, the selection of erection equipment, inspection of testing, special installations & locations and preparation for the City & Guilds 2382-12 examination.

How will I be assessed?
An online multichoice exam
You will need Amendment 1 BS7671 (wiring regulations). Previous knowledge of the regulations is not required; however candidates should have a basic knowledge and understanding of electrical science and the principles of electrical installation work.

The course is aimed at; Electricians, Maintenance Personnel, Supervisors, Managers and anyone dealing with electrical installations and wiring.
Students are required to bring a copy of the BS 7671 (left) and a scientific calculator. You may also want to bring highlighter pens and sticky post-its for referencing.
