This course is for students who do not have the correct level of English and Maths or skills to go on to Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification.

  • What will I learn?

    All learners will cover mandatory introductory units in Health and Safety, Communication, Career Pathways and Hand Tools all relevant within the automotive industry.

  • How will I be assessed?

    This qualification involves a practical approach to assessment with practical tasks and written tasks, all collected in a portfolio of evidence.

  • Entry Requirements

    Applicants should have an interest in the chosen vocational course. Entry will be subject to an application and interview to demonstrate that you have the enthusiasm and willingness to succeed on the course. You must have at least a GCSE grade 2 in both Maths and English.

  • Progression & Career Opportunities

    After completing this qualification, the learner has the opportunity to progress onto higher levels of learning depending on the achievement of Level 1 Functional Skills in English and Maths.

  • Additional Information

    You will need to buy boots, overalls and a text book.
