This course is for students who do not have the correct level of English and Maths or skills to go on to Level 1 Motor Vehicle qualification.
What will I learn?
All learners will cover mandatory introductory units in Health and Safety, Communication, Career Pathways and Hand Tools all relevant within the automotive industry.
The course consists of 12 units, ranging from Health and Safety, Careers in the Motor Industry to interim servicing and other vehicle systems.
How will I be assessed?
This qualification involves a practical approach to assessment with practical tasks and written tasks, all collected in a portfolio of evidence.
Applicants should have an interest in the chosen vocational course. Entry will be subject to an application and interview to demonstrate that you have the enthusiasm and willingness to succeed on the course.

After completing this qualification, the learner has the opportunity to progress onto higher levels of learning. This qualification allows learners the opportunity to progress to a higher level, if they are able.
This Vocationally Related Qualification (VRQ) is designed to engage and motivate 14-19 year olds who are interested in learning about the automotive retail industry. The Diploma is ideally suited to 16-19 year old learners who enjoy the sector and wish to develop experience in a variety of motor industry sectors, at a level suiting their ability.
