A message from our Executive Director of MIS and Planning
Dear students and Parents,
As we’ve reached the end of term I thought it would be timely to write to you to let you know about our plans for enrolment for the next academic year.
By now all students should have had a conversation with either their tutor or our admissions team regarding progression to the next level of the study programme or your next step with us. We are very much looking forward to seeing all our young people back on campus in September and are working hard planning the changes that we need to make as we all adjust to the ‘new normal’. As we finalise those plans we will be in touch with you to let you know how we will be following the government guidelines. As always, our primary concern is keeping everyone safe in what will be an anxious time for many.
One of the initiatives that we have been working on is an online enrolment form. You will remember that we would usually invite all of our new and returning students into College for an enrolment session to complete all the paperwork required for the course. This year are moving this to a fully online process. During August we will be sending you an email in which there will be a link to your online enrolment form. You will need to complete this form and upload any supporting evidence (you will even be able to send us a photo in readiness for your new ID card).
This link will be sent to student email addresses, please keep an eye on your inbox.
Following the submission of your information, we will process your enrolment and add on any maths or English enrolment, or other study programme elements as required. You will then receive a confirmation email back to you letting you know that your enrolment has been processed successfully, attaching any additional information that you need. Your timetable will be shared with you on ProPortal and curriculum teams will be in contact with you regarding any specific information for your vocational area.
This is a new process that we have implemented as a result of Covid-19 however, we are hopeful that this is a positive change that will serve us well into the future. As with any new process there maybe a few bumps along the way and we will be asking for your feedback on how we can make improvements to the system. As we move through the stages please be patient with us as we make any adjustments needed to give you the best experience possible.
If you sat GCSE’s with us this year we will be emailing your results to you on Thursday 20th August. Again, this will be sent to your student email address and should arrive in our inbox before 11am. A hard copy of your result slip will be posted to you that day.
We look forward to seeing you soon,
Executive Director of MIS and Planning
