Employability courses prepare students for entering the workplace in a range of jobs.
What will I learn?
This is a practical based study programme which will include English and maths, sport sessions, 1:1 tutorials and work experience.
Health and Safety in the Work Place, Rights and Responsibilities in the Work Place, Working with Others, Customer Service, Preparing to Work, Travelling to Work, Communicating with Others at Work, Exploring Job Opportunities.
How will I be assessed?
The students will build a portfolio of evidence in a folder which will be internally and externally assessed at the end of the year.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Students can progress onto a higher level of study within Foundation Studies, or a Supported Internship, which will lead to employment.
All students will require an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP). This course will include approximately 30 hours of work experience.
