The UAL Level 1 Diploma in Games Design has been designed to provide students with an introduction to the creative Gaming sector, enabling them to make informed future progression choices while developing and applying their knowledge and acquiring a range of relevant practical, communication and personal development skills.
What will I learn?
This qualification is suitable for students who have an interest in Game art, Game design, animation media or a related subject and wish to explore and extend this interest via a full-time, immersive learning experience. Students will develop and test their creativity within a structure that will provide a sound base of skills and knowledge, while enhancing self-confidence and revealing the potential career demands and opportunities within the sector.

How will I be assessed?
Work is assessed by your tutors who will grade your work once it is complete.
Minimum of Entry Level 3 literacy. No previous qualifications are required for this course.

Career Opportunities include: Games Designer, Games Developer, Graphic Designer, Concept Artist and Animator.
This final project unit allows students to demonstrate all the learning that has taken place through completion of the other units. This unit is graded Pass, Merit or Distinction and determines the overall qualification grade.
