GCSEs are recognised by employers in all areas as a measure of your educational achievements. The qualification mainly involves studying the theory of a subject, combined with some investigative work.
What will I learn?
Within this course you will study a number of topics.
- Number skills
- Geometry and measure
- Statistics and probability.
How will I be assessed?
There will be an end of year examination in May/ June, made up of three papers.
An interest in Maths, plus GCSE Maths grade D or above, or an appropriate diagnostic test score.
Progression & Career Opportunities
GCSE Maths at grade C/ 4 or above will help you progress onto a number of Level 3 courses. This qualification will help you towards a number of careers and occupations.
Cost of Study
If learners have a grade 3 or below or no qualifications then GCSE courses are free.
If learners have a grade 4 but want to improve on this grade then there is a cost involved which varies according to age:
- 19+ cost is £350
- 16-18 cost is £100 (admin/exam fees)
