This exciting new course is offered in our modern recording studios and edit suites. You will learn using industry standard Avid software and have the chance to attain Avid user certification. You will be looking at foley, dialogue recording, sound effects and music for films as well as undertaking a final project in a specialism of your choice.

What will I learn?
Audio editing and mixing, sound recording, composition and sound-tracking and professional practices and procedures in relation to the film and game industry as well as an introduction to the industry and the career paths available to you.

How will I be assessed?
There will be a variety of collaborative practical and written assessments culminating in a final major project.

Entry Requirements
L3 BTEC/UAL or equivalent in Music, Music Technology, Music Performance and Production etc. A level equivalent and/or L3 Creative Media with sound experience is acceptable. Equivalent practical experience will also be considered. GCSE English and Maths is desirable.

Progression & Career Opportunities
Students could go on to BA or move into work or an internship. Careers options include: Studio or field sound recording, audio post production, TV or film sound and music composition, mixing or editing, music/suond effects for games etc.
