This course is designed as a third year, theory-in-practice based programme for students who have completed a HND or Foundation Degree, or two years of a BA programme in a relevant discipline. The aim of this course is to further promote development of your 'triple threat' skills base, singing, acting and dance and is, as a result, a demanding programme.

    This course will build both your practical application of performing arts and an understanding of theory and research. It will help you get into a highly competitive and challenging industry by simulating industry practice in a fully-equipped theatre and studio facilities.

  • How will I be assessed?

    This course is offered in partnership with, and validated by, Buckinghamshire New University. Assignments are designed to assess process and performance through a submission of major critical study/research in contextual dissertation.

  • Entry Requirements

    To demonstrable ability in acting and singing, assessed through audition. Merit at completion of a two year Level 5 qualification (Foundation Degree or HND). English and maths grades at 4 (C) or above. To be able to demonstrate critical thinking, assessed through interview. Demonstrable ability in dance, assessed through audition. All applicants are auditioned in singing, dance and acting.

  • Progression & Career Opportunities

    You could take various routes including: drama/theatre industries, Theatre in Education (TiE), Community Theatre, Theatre Education, setting up your own theatre company. Progression can also lead to postgraduate study (Masters or beyond) at drama/theatre schools.

  • Additional Information

    This year, we are charging each student £130 to contribute towards paying for the activities and resources that enhance your learning experience here. This will cover a range of activities such as, two West End workshops, theatre trips, hiring of London venues, live band for in house and London shows, professional designers and musical directors, professional production support for final show, costume hire.
