If you are considering a career in dance, either as a performer, choreographer or teacher, then this is the ideal course for you. Building upon your previous experience of dance as a member of a youth company, as a competitor, or as someone who has taken graded dance examinations, this course trains you in ballet, jazz, contemporary, urban, tap, choreography and improvisation.

  • What will I learn?

You need energy, focus, commitment and enthusiasm for dancing and in return you will develop your technique in a range of styles with a faculty of teachers, all of whom have professional experience in the industry. You will do practical dance studies in ballet, contemporary, jazz, tap, urban, choreography and dance improvisation. You will also learn more about the history and social context of dance, study anatomy and body conditioning, choreograph your own pieces and perform in dance productions. You will also undertake a singing unit and study musical theatre dance.

  • Example modules
