This course is for post GCSE students interested in a career in performing arts. The first year will give teaching in a broad range of skills in the area enabling students to specialise in the second year in Dance, Acting or Musical Theatre.
The course is delivered by our experienced and qualified team of highly skilled specialist teachers. A series of shows are put on through the year in collaboration with students from the backstage theatre course in a variety of venues including our 120 seat theatre, and students will have the chance to engage with performance to camera in our newly modernised TV studio.
What will I learn?
You will learn to be a triple threat performer with the basics of acting, dance and singing, as well as studying the context of performing arts productions, speech and voice, and devising. There will be opportunities for specialist classes in the student's preferred pathway to prepare them for the second year.

How will I be assessed?
There will be theoretical and practical work resultign in practical pieces which will be assessed by your tutors and moderated by UAL (University of the Arts London) exam board. Grades are Pass, Merit, Distinction with Distinction in the second year being equivalent to 3 A*s at A Level.
To join this course, you will need four GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above in both English and Maths.
You should be able to demonstrate an interest in the subject. Please indicate to admissions what your prefered pathway will be, if known.
Entry is also subject to an interview, audition, basic skills screening and initial assessment.
