This new course is designed for students who would like an introduction to Performing Arts but need to study English and Maths in order to reach the entry requirements for Level 2.

What will I learn?
This is a flexible course intended for students not yet ready for level 2 and will focus on basic performance skills. Students will be offered a range of opportunities depending on their preferred pathway which might include singing, acting,or dance.
This course is a full-time study programme and has been formulated to prepare you for the future. This means as well as studying your chosen course, you'll also work on important skills to help to equip you for your future career. Your study programme will include: Your chosen course, English & Maths and/or subject related IT sessions (Digital Skills), a 45 day subject related work placement (Industry Placement), personal development sessions (Tutorials) and independent study sessions (Directed Study).

How will I be assessed?
You will be assessed on a range of practical and written assignments. Students are expected to work towards planning and evaluating their own performances and skills with the aim of moving to a full L2 qualification the following year.

Entry Requirements
Grade 2 (E) in English and Maths GCSE. There will also be an audition process.

Progression & Career Opportunities
Level 2 Performing and Production Arts. Students can potentially go on to become a professional actor, dancer, or musical theatre performer.
