What will I learn?
The course enables you a dynamic prospect to explore your creativity and build a specialised portfolio that is based on high standards and excellent underpinning expertise. You will explore visual storytelling through conceptual and editorial practices, be introduced to online portfolio building, book design, and video editing, and a wide range of photographic techniques and equipment including digital, analogue and historic practices.

How will I be assessed?
Students work to outside commissions and briefs, and are encouraged to enter competitions, in which this college has an outstanding success record. Other assessments include essays, learning logs, presentations, report writing and research tasks.
Candidates must be 18 years old and over and have a portfolio of photographic work, with sketchbooks and notebooks to support the finished work. Applicants will generally be expecting to, or have successfully completed a full Level 3 qualification(BTEC National Diploma or A-Level) in a relevant discipline. Access students are welcome. Mature candidates with non-standard qualifications will be considered individually.
