This two-year course is equivalent to 3 A Levels. This course has been developed to provide a solid grounding into Public Services, for anyone who is interested in any kind of Public Service career. Please note that when you apply for this course you will be applying for the first year, which is known as a 90 Credit Diploma.

The Units cover the following subject areas Police Powers, Aspects of the legal system, Fitness preparation for the uniformed services, Custodial care, current affairs and expeditions.

How will I be assessed?
The assessment is ongoing through written assignments, mock court case studies, practical assessment and skills assessments.
A minimum of 4 GCSE passes including English and/or Maths. For 2017 entry we are accepting a grade C (current GCSE) or a grade 4 (New GCSE) as a pass. Alternatively we will accept a full Level 2 qualification at Merit grade or above.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Provides entry requirements for university. Students are given career advice throughout the course and most progress directly into employment within a uniformed service. This is an enjoyable course which includes expeditions to the Peak District and orienteering skills as well as a visits to the courts and visits from and too a variety of the uniformed services.
