This course will prepare you for a further qualification in public services. This is a one year study programme which will develop your knowledge and skills within the area of public services. It will enable you to progress onto a Higher National Diploma in Public Services.
What will I learn?
This programme will give you a deeper understanding on public services. You will learn about public organisations and how they work and will gain a deeper understanding on the criminological and sociological aspects of society and have to opportunity to learn about custodial care and criminal law.

How will I be assessed?
This diploma is assessed by coursework, group tasks and presentations which are graded by Pass, Merit or Distinction.
GCSE in Maths and English at 4 or above and a relevant Level 3 qualification, preferably in the area of public services. All applicants will be interviewed to ensure that the course is the right choice based on previous educational experience.
Progression & Career Opportunities
Students who successfully complete the course will be awarded a Level 4 National Certificate in Public services. This qualification will enable you to progress onto a Level 5 programme in Public Services. Civil Protection, Crime and Criminal Justice, Public Service Management, Blue Light Services, Public Services (Medical and Military)
