This programme is a practical-based qualification and offers a direct pathway into the exercise and fitness industry. You are expected to demonstrate competency in planning, reviewing and adapting programmes and to evaluate the differences in dealing with the pre or postnatal, disabled, referred and elderly customers.

What will I learn?
You will gain a broad base of knowledge, enabling you to plan and deliver personal training sessions and programmes to all ages and with consideration to disability and diversity. You will also be able to qualify for a 1st 4 Sport level 2 Certificate in Coaching Strength and Conditioning for Sport.

How will I be assessed?
You will carry out a range of practical assignments, which will be assessed within a commercial working environment. You will also collate theoretical evidence in the form of assignments, projects and multiple choice online tests.

Level 2 gym-based qualification. A high level of commitment to learning and aspirations to progress into the industry must be displayed.

Progression & Career Opportunities
The direct progression from this programme would be the Certificate in Sports Massage, Circuit training or working as a personal trainer. Positions that would be open to you will include Advanced Fitness Instructor, Gym/Studio Coordinator.
