This course is an excellent springboard for students wishing to develop the relevant knowledge and understanding required for entering into career in the Sport, Recreation and Leisure industry. Using our new full size 3G pitch we are able to provide a learning opportunity for the skills required to deliver football coaching in the community and sports industry.
What will I learn?
We are very pleased with our partnership with Chelsea FC Foundation - our strong link with this professional club and people mean you will benefit from inspiring talks and workshops from guest speakers to ensure you learn the very latest techniques. This link also provides our students with the chance to train at The Dome Reading FCs superb £1 million indoor training centre.
These courses provide approximately 8-12 hours of coaching per week from highly qualified coaches - two out of three who hold the prestigious UEFA A licence.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is through a range of practical and portfolio based tasks throughout the year.
You must have previously completed a Level 1 Award in Football Coaching or an equivalent qualification.
You must also have a minimum of four GCSEs at grade C or above including English and Maths.
