Buckinghamshire College Group is delighted to congratulate our valued partner, Mission EmployAble, on winning the Community Group Award at the BBC Three Counties Radio Make a Difference Awards.
The award recognises the incredible impact Mission EmployAble has on the local community through its work supporting young adults with learning disabilities to gain meaningful employment and lead fulfilled, independent lives.
The award was presented at a ceremony held at Grove Theatre, Dunstable, celebrating outstanding individuals and organisations making a positive difference across the region.
Reflecting on their achievement, Mission EmployAble shared:
"It's with gratitude and humility that we accepted this award in a room full of astonishing local heroes.
This award is a touching milestone that couldn't have been achieved without everyone who contributes indelibly to Mission EmployAble: team members, interns, trustees, parents, customers, fundraisers, and beyond.
It was a special night and a genuine honour. Now, we're more determined than ever to continue helping young adults with learning disabilities to find a paid job and lead fulfilled lives."
Buckinghamshire College Group is proud to work alongside Mission EmployAble through our shared commitment to creating inclusive opportunities and supporting learners as they develop the skills, confidence and experience needed to succeed in employment and life.
The award is a fitting recognition of the dedication, passion and hard work of everyone involved with Mission EmployAble. Their innovative approach continues to transform lives, break down barriers and demonstrate the immense value that young adults with learning disabilities bring to workplaces and communities.
A massive congratulations to the entire Mission EmployAble team on this well-deserved achievement and we look forward to continuing our partnership for many years to come.
