My friends decided to stay on and do sixth form and encouraged me to also apply. Sixth form wasn’t what I wanted to do because I knew I was going there for the wrong reasons. I was going there to stay with my friends and not because the option supported the career I wanted.
I applied to study Level 2 Early years because since I was young I always wanted to be a teacher. I have always wanted to be a teaching and was able to do work experience at a primary school which made me determined to qualify to teach. Doing this course was the right decision for me. I now have so many new job opportunities that I wouldn’t have if it wasn’t for this course.
I have been able to gain new friends, experience new things and been able to learn inside and outside of the classroom. Placement has given me good experience and gives me something to add to my CV to help me get a job.
I have applied to continue studying the Level 3 Extended Diploma in Early Years. I want to stay in college as I have flexibility to work and doing this course provides relevant work experience to help me be more employable.
