Access to HE: Psychology and Criminology (Humanities) (Level 3)

You will be expected to participate fully in all class activities and undertake a considerable amount of independent study. You will learn essay writing, referencing skills, how to debate, analysing and how to evaluate academic sources.

Modules are graded at pass, merit or distinction, which leads to a portfolio of evidence at the end of the course. There may be some internal exams as part of the course.

To join this programme you will need 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (or equivalent) including maths and/or English.

This course is designed for students to progress on to studying at university degree level or on to a higher apprenticeship. Leading to a variety of career opportunities such as Social Work, Law, Teaching, Criminology, Psychology, Probation Service or other graduate professions.

You can apply for an Advanced Learner Loan to help with the costs of this course, via Student Finance England.

Student Finance England will write off any outstanding Advanced Learner Loan balances you owe for an Access to Higher Education course once you complete a higher education course. This means you do not have to repay it.

Students who take out an Advanced Learning Loan to fund their Access course will get the amount of this loan wiped off their student debt on completion of their Higher Education Degree.
