We recently hosted our Annual Student Awards Ceremony - an inspiring evening dedicated to celebrating the outstanding achievements, contributions and talents of our student community.
Held at the Crowne Plaza Marlow, the event brought together students, staff and families to recognise success across a wide range of categories, from academic excellence and leadership to innovation, community impact and creative talent. The evening was expertly hosted by Wes Venn, presenter on Bucks Radio, who kept the event running smoothly with warmth, energy and a touch of humour - helping to create a relaxed and celebratory atmosphere throughout the night. Awards were presented by our Faculty Directors, who took to the stage to share stories and highlights before announcing each winner.
This year's awards celebrated students from all three of our campuses and represented achievement across every faculty, reflecting the shared ambition among our talented students.
Among the highlights of the evening was a live ukulele and vocal performance by music student Joey Childs, who entertained guests during the interval and brought a creative flair to the celebration.
As well as recognising student achievement, the event also celebrated the valuable role employers play in supporting our students' development. The Apprentice Employer of the Year award was presented to Kennett Road Dental Practice, in recognition of their outstanding commitment in supporting Dental Nursing Apprentices. The Business Impact award went to Universal Pixels, who have made a significant contribution through meaningful engagement with the College and its students, including offering work placements for our T Level Media students.
The final and most prestigious award of the night - the Beyond Ambition Overall Student of the Year - was presented to Freddie Hulett, in recognition of his exceptional leadership, commitment and impact on college life.
We are also incredibly grateful to our sponsors whose generous support made the event possible: The William Harding's Charity, Mindful Education, Tech Support Squad, Bucks Skills Hub, and Zenopa Recruitment. Their commitment to student success and development is deeply appreciated.
The event marked not only a celebration of individual achievement but also the collective spirit, ambition and creativity that defines life at Buckinghamshire College Group.
Congratulations to all our award winners, we are incredibly proud of you all - and thank you to everyone who helped make the evening such a success!
