Take Your Learning Beyond the Classroom

At Buckinghamshire College Group, our WorkZone team is here to support your journey into the world of work. We’ll help you find the right work placement to match your course and career goals.

Why Do a Work Placement?

A placement gives you the chance to:

  • Learn from professionals in real working environments
  • Grow your confidence by applying your skills
  • Explore different career paths and build valuable experience
  • Make better decisions about your future, whether it’s a job, apprenticeship or further study
  • Stand out on job and university applications
  • Open doors to employment opportunities
  • Develop personally and prepare for life beyond college

You won’t be doing this alone; your Course Leader and the WorkZone team will support you every step of the way.

T Level Industry Placements

As a T Level student, you’ll complete a 45-day (315 hour) industry placement as part of your course. This is a chance to:

  • Get real hands-on experience in your chosen industry
  • Build skills and connections that can lead to future jobs
  • Learn from experienced professionals
  • Fit your placement around your college schedule - this could be one day a week, in blocks, or a mix of both

This placement is a great step towards your future career.

Employers – Work with Us

Support Local Talent and Build Your Future Workforce

We work with local employers who want to give students a chance to gain real-world experience. By offering a placement, you’re not only supporting the next generation, you’re also creating opportunities for your business.

  • Placements can be flexible, whether it’s a day a week or a full-time block
  • Students can develop a wide range of transferable skills, even outside their main subject area
  • It’s a great way to spot future apprentices or employees

If you’re interested in offering a placement, get in touch with us.
