Support local talent. Find your next hire.
At Buckinghamshire College Group, we’re proud to partner with forward-thinking employers who want to invest in future talent. Offering work placements is a great way to support young people as they take their first steps into the world of work while giving your business access to enthusiastic, motivated individuals who are ready to contribute.
T Level Industry Placements
T Levels are new qualifications for 16 to 19 year olds, developed with employers to combine classroom learning with practical experience. At the heart of every T Level is an industry placement lasting at least 315 hours (approximately 45 days) in a role directly related to the student’s course.
These placements give businesses like yours the chance to:
- Spot early talent for future recruitment
- Access extra resource for projects or ongoing work
- Bring fresh thinking and enthusiasm from students eager to learn
- Develop your team through management and mentoring opportunities
- Train a young person with the skills your business needs
- Build your reputation as an employer committed to workforce development and social impact
General Work Placements
Work experience helps students develop vital skills, confidence and career clarity whilst giving employers the chance to benefit from fresh perspectives. These can be:
- A day a week over a few months
- A short block placement
- A few hours each week
Even if your industry doesn’t directly match a student’s course, your input still builds valuable transferable skills. Work placements can also be a great way to meet future apprentices or employees before they even finish their studies.
Let’s Work Together
If you can offer a work placement, whether for a few hours, a day a week or a structured industry placement, we want to hear from you.
