We are thrilled to announce the graduation of 13 inspiring interns from Mission EmployAble’s Café on the Common. After completing their training, many of our graduates are poised to start exciting new paid employment opportunities. Our dedicated job coaches continue to work tirelessly to support those still in search of their dream jobs.
The graduation ceremony was a heartwarming event, filled with proud parents, siblings, trainers, and trustees celebrating the remarkable transformations of our young people.
Special thanks to our guests including local representatives, Councillor Stephen King, Councillor Stephen Watkins, Chair of Open Spaces Debbie Rosario, and County Councillor Louise Price, all of whom acknowledged the hard work of our interns as they received their certificates.
The atmosphere was vibrant, with the additional presence of the High Sheriff of Buckinghamshire, Pippa Kirkbridge, Gagan Moran and Buckinghamshire College Group, along with photographers capturing these memorable moments. The supported internship is run off site for Buckinghamshire College Group by Mission EmployAble based at their Chorleywood centre. Our 2nd location is opening in September based in Amersham, which will be a great location for our Bucks interns.
Emotions ran high, with a few tears and plenty of photographs, followed by a delicious luncheon.
"As we look forward to the bright futures of our graduates, we are excited to welcome new interns in September. We know our fantastic café customers are looking forward to supporting and encouraging our new interns as they also become part of the Cafe on the Common family.”
said Mission EmployAble's Founder & Chair, Katharine Weston.
Congratulations to our graduates! We will miss you all and look forward to hearing about your achievements in the months to come!
