What will I learn?
You will gain essential skills to start work in an accounting environment. This course is suitable for school leavers with a proven interest in accounts, as well as mature students and those wishing to return to work after a break. Full time students will also gain a BTEC qualification in Business and Accounting

How will I be assessed?
Many of the units are assessed by computer-based exams and the provisional results are available immediately or are marked by an assessor at the College

Entry Requirements
You will need a minimum of 4 GCSE passes at grade 4 (C) or above, including English and Mathematics, together with a proven interest in accountancy. All participants must become student members of the AAT

Progression & Career Opportunities
Completion of this course (with Level 2/GCSE Maths Grade 4 (C)) will enable you to progress to Level 3. You will be able to consider positions within the government sector, banking sector or accountancy practices

Additional Information
The books will cost approximately £100 per year and is a requirement of the course. You would also be required to become a student member of the awarding body, AAT (£120).
This course will run on Thursdays, 6pm - 9pm.
