    To join this programme you will need 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 (or equivalent) including maths and/or English.

  • What will I learn?

    You will learn a range of processes and techniques including Pre-Production – Research, Planning & Concept Design, Production – 3D modelling, texture creation, rigging, animation, sound VFX & render pipeline and Post – Production –Sound & sequence editing, Title sequence and Render editing.

  • Additional Information
    Although optional, students should think about the possibility of having the use of either a laptop or desktop (PC) which is capable of running the 3D software required for this course. You will be eligible for free downloads from the manufacturers for most of the specialist software we run on this course.
  • Progression

    The course will help you to develop the fundamental skills and qualifications required to enter either our very own course in Animation & VFX at Level 4, 5, 6 whilst also giving you the very real possibility to enter directly into industry through a chosen pathway with our industry contacts.

  • How am I assessed?

    Assessment is based on both practical and written assignments delivered over a modulated system based on three sections: Pre-Production, Production & Finally Post-Production. This culminates with a final End of Year Show where students get the opportunity to present their work to both public & industry sectors.
