As battery storage technology becomes increasingly important within renewable energy systems, skilled electricians who can safely design, install, and commission Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) are in growing demand. Energy storage plays a vital role in improving energy efficiency, supporting solar PV systems and helping homes and businesses manage electricity usage more effectively.
This Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) Level 3 course at the Bucks Green Energy Skills Hub is designed for qualified electricians, electrical technicians and engineers looking to upskill and gain the specialist knowledge required to work with battery storage systems.
Developed in conjunction with MCS, the programme aligns with current industry guidance and standards, helping learners confidently work with modern energy storage technologies.
- Course Overview
Battery storage systems are becoming a key component of renewable energy installations and smart energy management.
This two-day course provides learners with the knowledge and practical understanding needed to safely design, install, inspect, test and commission Electrical Energy Storage Systems (EESS) in line with industry standards and current legislation.
The course is based on the IET Code of Practice for Electrical Energy Storage Systems and the MCS Battery Standard MIS 3012.
