Buckinghamshire College Group's Carpentry students are benefiting from a generous £1,000 timber donation from Galliford Try, made possible through the support of former learner Kyle Clark and logistics specialist Lynch.
The donation, which will be used to support practical learning and skills development at the College, provides valuable resources for students as they continue to develop their carpentry expertise and gain hands-on experience in industry-standard techniques.
The initiative was arranged by former Buckinghamshire College Group learner Kyle Clark, who studied for a Carpentry Diploma at the College's Aylesbury Campus before progressing into an apprenticeship with Galliford Try.
Since completing his studies, Kyle has continued to build an impressive career in the construction industry. Within his role at Galliford Try, he is working towards a degree-level qualification in Civil Engineering through the company's sponsorship. He has also achieved both the Site Supervisors' Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) and Site Management Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualifications, demonstrating his commitment to professional development and leadership within the sector.
The donation highlights the positive impact that former learners can have by maintaining strong links with the College and supporting future generations of students.
Buckinghamshire College Group would like to extend its sincere thanks to Galliford Try for donating the materials, and to Lynch for providing invaluable logistical support and helping to facilitate the delivery.
The College is proud to celebrate the achievements of its alumni and the strong partnerships that help create opportunities for learners to succeed both during their studies and throughout their careers.
