We’re proud to celebrate the incredible achievement of Jasmine Nituan, a recent alumna of the college, who has just released her debut album Antecedent. The eight-track album is a deeply personal and creative project, written and produced entirely by Jasmine using Pro Tools and GarageBand.

Reflecting on the album, Jasmine shares:

“Antecedent exists because of an eventful year, in which I had many experiences, many adventures and a ton of fascination and freedom. So, simultaneously I wrote and produced all 8 songs in this album. This album has been so cathartic to make, and so rewarding that I am sad to release it and stop working on it.”

The title Antecedent, meaning 'what came before', perfectly captures the essence of the album, which Jasmine describes as a musical diary of her life over the past year. Her inspirations range from nature and urban exploration to themes of life and death, all woven into rich metaphors that convey her personal stories and reflections.

Jasmine stood out during her time at college for her creativity, dedication, and passion for music. We are incredibly proud of her journey and this milestone, and we can’t wait to see what she does next.

Antecedent is available now to stream on Spotify. Give it a listen and support Jasmine’s inspiring work!
