This course is designed specifically to equip you with the skills and knowledge required to care for children from birth to 16 years-old, including babies and toddlers. The course will give you a level 2 qualification that enables you to apply for nursery assistants vacancies.

What will I learn?
The course is both theoretical and practical, and incorporates supervised work with children in a professional, caring environment during part of the week in a variety of settings.

How will I be assessed?
Assessment is continuous, based on assignments, practical work and workplace performance.

Entry Requirements
To join this programme you will need 4 GCSEs at Grade 2 (or equivalent) including Maths and English. An enhanced DBS check will be required.

Progression & Career Opportunities
Upon successful completion you will be able to proceed onto the T Level in Education & Childcare. There are a number of positions you can apply for including Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant and Pre-School Assistant.

Additional Information
There will be a course contribution fee of £100 for materials. You will spend 3 days per week in College and 2 days per week in your placement.
