This course is one day a week for 3 hours over 7 weeks.

- What will I learn?
This qualification will give learners an introduction to Counselling Skills in preparation for further learning or training. The development of listening skills will also support learners to develop skills need in daily life and at work for example in the field of health and social care.
- Additional Information On completion of the Level 1 you will have an interview with your tutor on progressing to Level 2.

- How am I assessed?
All students are required to produce a portfolio of evidence. Work is regularly assessed by the course tutor and will also be internally verified by another tutor. Students’ portfolios will contain learning reviews, self-reviews, peer testimonies, tutor observations, tutorial records and specific pieces of work relevant to the level of training.
Introduction to Counselling Skills
There are no entry requirements for this course other than having an openness to personal development and an interest in learning listening skills.
