University Campus Aylesbury Vale was the scene for the College’s graduating National Citizen Service students this month who have worked in partnership with Action4Youth and Buckinghamshire College Group. NCS is a growing youth movement for all teenagers aged 15-17 to discover who they are and what they can do.

Students from Buckinghamshire College Group were featured on BBC News today as part of a story  about the ‘Inspiration Programme’ organised by Action4Youth.  The organisation aims to provide fun, transformational experiences for all young people whatever their background or ability.

Students from Public Services took centre stage during this year's annual Remembrance service held at our Aylesbury Campus. Lead by veteran and Public Services tutor Wayne Davies, the students from our Level 2 and 3 courses helped the College pay respect and remember the members of the armed forces who have died in the line of duty.

Robyn Marshall, former Foundation Degree Musical Theatre student, is currently appearing in the West End musical The Book of Mormon.   Robyn studied at the Amersham campus for two years before being awarded a full scholarship to Urdang Academy, London, where she worked to obtain a BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre.

Awarding body UAL have released a video of the UAL Origins Creative Arts Festival 2018. Buckinghamshire College Group, Level 3 Acting student Maia Cebula Mackenzie, won the Performing and Production Arts Award at the Festival for demonstrating exceptional commitment to her work.

Ninety-eight students from Public Services, Sport and Health and Social Care from the Aylesbury campus recently took part in the Calecote Xpereince, a residential community project (NCS) with Action4Youth over the course of two weeks at Caldecotte Park, Milton Keynes.

Buckinghamshire College Group is one of just 20 FE colleges nationwide to have been successfully accepted to the Taking Teaching Further Scheme, as reported in an article in FE Week - read the full story here.

National Colleges Week is taking place right now (15th – 19th October) with the aim of getting the government to boost Further Education funding, whilst highlighting the benefits of FE institutions through a ‘Love our Colleges’ campaign.
